Description: Responsible for providing front-line end user technical support including troubleshooting of issues related to applications, hardware and the voice/data infrastructure. In addition, this position is responsible for operational duties including server monitoring, backup tape management and general preventative system maintenance. At this level, the incumbent is expected to be competent with current Hospital computer systems and be able to offer first level response to problems directed to the Help Desk from local or remote computer system users. This position will be expected to provide a high level of customer service in all interactions with users via phone, email and in person. Enters each reported incident into the Help Desk Ticket System and monitors the status of unresolved issues and requests. The Incumbent adheres to the principles of the C.A.R.E. standards in all activities and relationships.This position will work 3:00p-11:30p.
Requirements: Must have a basic understanding of the Hospital computer systems, as well as, a good working knowledge of recent developments in computer systems and equipment.Must be competent in all functions of common desktop software, including the Microsoft Office software suite; which is defined as standard for use throughout the Hospital. Must be able to instruct others in the setup and general usage of this standard software.Must have a working knowledge of standard workstation and printer equipment and be able to demonstrate, through testing or explanation, the ability to diagnose failures in computer workstations, printers and software typically reported to the Help Desk.Must be conscientious, accurate and capable of reacting logically to unusual or stressful situations and exercising good judgment skills while providing quality customer service. Must successfully complete the Reid Hospital orientation and achieve competency based skills appropriate for the position. Individual performance and competency based skills are maintained through ongoing assessment of competence and educational activities. Written evaluations are completed annually.
Pay Range: $17.88-$20.44
