Description: The Rehabilitation Services Aide performs a variety of duties related to patient care, and miscellaneous tasks to enhance the delivery of care to patients. Preparation of equipment and treatment areas, disinfection and cleaning, ordering and stocking supplies and general clerical tasks are primary functions.
This position will work Saturday and Sunday 9:00a-5:30p.
Requirements: The Rehabilitation Services Aide must demonstrate the knowledge and skills appropriate to serve patients of all ages and those with special needs, developmental challenges, and/or communication impairments. He/she must be able to communicate in person with customers ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric. Must be able to organize and prioritize tasks, perform computer data entry, use standard office machines, and file accurately. Must be able to perform physically demanding cleaning and transportation tasks.
Successful completion of Reid Hospital general orientation, position-specific orientation skills checklist, and competency inventory required before working independently. Individual performance and competency-based skills are maintained through ongoing assessment of competence and training. Written performance appraisals are completed at least annually.
Personal Characteristics: Must relate to others, including those with physical and emotional challenges, using tact, mature judgement, and understanding. It is essential that the Rehabilitation Services Aide display the type of attitude and behaviors that are conducive to customer satisfaction and problem resolution. It is important that he/she be organized and proactive in meeting customer needs.
The Rehabilitation Services Aide is expected to work certain weekends and holidays in accordance with department policy. The Rehabilitation Services Aide is expected to work flexible hours based on changing departmental needs.
Pay Range: $10.86-$12.37
